Embroidery Square

Andrew's teacher Laura was pregnant with her first child at the beginning of the year (she actually gave birth to a baby boy earlier this morning!). The class decided to make a quilt for the baby as a gift before she left on maternity leave. To make the quilt extra special, each family embroidered a sea creature onto a square and then our amazing art teacher sewed it together.  The kids presented the quilt at a surprise tea on Laura's last day.

For our square, I embroidered a sea turtle. I hadn't embroidered in the longest time (over 10 years) but was pretty happy with how it turned out!
